Stone Arrow Head      Exhibit 21
   7/8" Length x 3/4" Width

This is another example of a stone arrow head used by the indigenous inhabitants of the New World prior to the arrival of the Euro-Americans. This arrowhead was found in the region encompassed by present-day Bedford County. Its shape suggests that it comes from the Archaic cultural period which lasted from approximately 8000 BC to 1000 BC.
