Quart Crock

This is another example of a crock. This one would hold about a quart. Although many of the "open" crocks were used for solid food storage, they tended to be measured in liquid measurements such as pint, quart, gallon and so forth. This one, like the preceding exhibit, is glazed in the two-tone color scheme that was very common on crocks from the early 1900s.
