Butter Churn     Exhibit 2

     This is an example of a winder butter churn. It was sometimes called a cylinder churn. The printing on the face of this churn says: "New & Made With Cedar Winder Churn".
     As you can see in the image below, the lid easily lifted off to permit access to the inside where paddles, driven by the hand crank, churned the milk into butter.
