This is another example of a castle wheel. This example dates to the early 1900s and comes from Poland. It is similar to the previous exhibit, but the posts' turnings are not very intricate; it has an overall rustic appearance. Note the distaff which is in the shape of a flat board around which the raw flax fibers would be wrapped.
