Hatchel     Exhibit 27

This is another example of a hatchel. This example, like one or two others exhibited already, was constructed with the nails pounded into a separate piece of wood, which was then nailed onto the piece that forms this hatchel's base. It is possible that this was done when a hatchel's original base became worn out or broken, and the homeowner simply reused the portion in which the nails were driven.
