     The complete title for this volume is DIE HEILIGE SCHRIST des ALTEN UND NEUEN TESTAMENTS, nebst einer vollstanigen Ertlarung verselben, welche aus den auserlesensten Anmertungen verschiedener Englandischen Schriststeller zusammengetragen, und zuerst in der fransusischen Sprache an das Licht gestellet, nunmehr aber in dieser deutschen Uebersekung auf das neue durchgeschen, und mit vielen Anmertungen und einer Vorrede begleitet worden von D. Romanus Teller, der Gottesgelahrheit offentlichen Lehrer, des Stists zu Zeig Canonicus, des Konigl, und Chursurstl. Consistorii zu Leipzig Assessor, und ben der Thomastirche Pastor. Der erste Theil, der das erste und andere Buch Mose in sich sasset. Mit Komisch=Kaiserlichen Koniglich=Pohlnischen und Chursacheischen allergnadigsten Privilegiis.
      The book was more commonly known as Teller's Bibel-Werk (i.e. Bible Book), which is the title engraved on the book's spine. It consisted of a set of nineteen volumes, of which set this is one volume. This volume includes the text of, and commentary on, the first two books of Moses. It is an exigetical (i.e. critical interpretation) study of the Bible. The nineteen volumes of the Bibel-Werk were completed between 1749 and 1770.
      The book was published at Leipzig by Berlegs Bernhard Christoph Breitkops. The author, Romanus Teller, was born in the year 1703 and died in 1750. He started this project in the year prior to his death, and his son, Wilhelm Abraham Teller (born on 09 January 1734 at Liepzig and died 09 December 1804) continued the project his father had begun.
