{Research performed by Diane Baptie, Member of ASGRA, 2002} Testaments in Glasgow Commissary Court include an entry for Mr. Thomas Muirhead, minister at Cambusnethan, and son of James Muirhead elder of Lachop, dated 12 November, 1635.
{Research performed by Diane Baptie, Member of ASGRA, 2002} According to information provided in the book, Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae, edited by Hew Scott, Volume 3, p 240: Thomas Muirhead, born c. 1571, son of James Muirhead of Lachop, received a Master of Arts degree at Glasgow in 1591. He was admitted to Shotts in 1591 and transferred and was admitted to Cambusnethan about a year later. He died in May, 1634. He had married Margaret, daughter of Robert Baillie of Park.
